Zaripov Ice Hockey Stick

This initiative helped him establish a hockey stick brand bearing his own name—”Zaripov”—and set up a production base in Russia, marking a historic breakthrough for the Russian hockey stick industry.
Ice hockey is a sport widely popular among Russians, and President Putin himself is an enthusiast. However, the Russian ice hockey stick market was almost entirely dominated by foreign brands, with no homegrown star brand to speak of. Following the example of famous Chinese athlete Li Ning, Russian ice hockey champion Danis Zaripov decided to launch a hockey stick brand bearing his own name—”Zaripov”—and establish a production base within Russia. On March 10, 2016, the first domestically branded Russian ice hockey stick was produced in the city of Naberezhnye Chelny.
